Zydeco Zoe Story ... Washboard Willy has known Zoe since she was born, 7 years ago now. She's grown up listening to Washboard Willy music and jammin with him from the time she could stand. A couple years ago, she wanted to play the washboard too. So Willy helped her create her washboard. Today, she plays with him every chance she gets, even practicing in her garage together. Last year at the 2006 Sacramento Jazz Jubilee Washboard Concert, Zydeco Zoe joined Washboard Willy and Wishboard Wanda on the front row (and she make ALL the papers!). Watch for her again in 2007. Its stories like this that continue to be affirmations for Willy's Washboard Jamboree to keep on keepin on!! THANK YOU ZOE!!! |
